Z

Z is a human who writes, designs, creates art, develops technology, and helps others organize around their labor. Since co-founding Black Socialists in America at age 24, working closely with the music streaming cooperative Resonate, and co-founding 400,000,000—a developing federation of worker cooperatives—Z’s work has informed the organizational efforts of thousands of people and been recognized by freedom-seekers globally. Their history informs their current efforts to help poor and working-class people leverage the arts and technology for a free society and world, even as systems collapse around them. Now an emerging steward to hundreds of acres of land in New England along with others, and forging alliances through a post-Left lens, Z’s activities are focused on the social, psychological, financial, technological, and ecological dimensions of residential eco-community-building and using media as one tool to galvanize others for similar focuses.

Aside from two years spent in Tokyo, Japan for education and work, Z has resided in New York City since they were a teenager. When not working or creating, they’re usually watching videos on recent events, the gaming industry, and paleontology.
