Youri Kravtchenko is an architect, scenographer, founder of YKRA architects and a studio critic at the Space Design/Interior Architecture Department at HEAD – Genève (HES-SO). YKRA, the architecture practice he founded in 2012, has completed more than 80 projects in Switzerland and elsewhere in Europe, with a project in Brazil currently in progress. The practice, which has received numerous awards, focuses on hospitality venues (restaurants and hotels) and museums, as well as on the renovation and transformation of heritage buildings, integrating interior design right from the start of the creative process. After winning the SIA Prize for the best Master’s project in Switzerland in 2011, Kravtchenko was awarded a scholarship at the Swiss Institute in Rome in 2016. In 2019, he was nominated for both the Swiss Art Awards and the Swiss Design Awards, and he co-curated the Scènes de Nuit exhibition at F’ar Lausanne. In 2023, he won the tender for the International Comic Strip Centre, and in 2025, he was again nominated again for the Swiss Art Awards and the Swiss Design Awards.
