Vera Sacchetti
Vera Sacchetti is a Basel-based design critic and curator. She specializes in contemporary design and architecture and serves in a variety of curatorial, research and editorial roles. Recently, she co-founded Fazer, a new design magazine in Portugal, co-initiated the Design & Democracy platform, which maps the intersections and overlaps between design and democratic systems and practices, and co-curated Right here, right now: Bioregional ways and situated practices, the international exhibition of the inaugural Covilhã Design Triennial (2025). She served as program coordinator of the multidisciplinary research initiative Driving the Human: Seven Prototypes for Eco-social Renewal (2020–2023), which aimed to support transdisciplinary research on sustainable futures. Sacchetti teaches at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art, and at Design Academy Eindhoven, and was previously a lecturer at the Space Design/Interior Architecture Department at HEAD – Genève (HES-SO). In 2020, she joined the Swiss Federal Design Commission.
