Valentina De Luigi

Valentina De Luigi is deputy head of the Space Design/Interior Architecture Department at HEAD – Genève (HES-SO). In her role, she supports the department through strategic development, academic coordination, and teaching. A sociologist, interior designer and researcher, she holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences (University of Lausanne), an Advanced Graduate Diploma (DESS) in Globalization and Social Regulation (Universities of Lausanne and Geneva), and a Graduate Diploma in Interior Design (Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London). De Luigi has previously worked at the International Labour Organization, the Swiss Federal Statistical Office, and the Directorate-General for Higher Education of the Canton of Vaud. She is currently engaged in the HES-SO-funded research project FORCED REUSE, where she is exploring the anthropological and social dimensions of reuse practices, grounding the project in contemporary theoretical frameworks.
