Timmy van Zoelen is a Dutch visual artist and writer. His practice consists of manipulating a broad range of artistic media, combining them to play and visualise his theories and analysis of patterns that emerge from within the cultural reproduction of signs and symbols, ploughing the soil in an attempt to uncover their historical roots whilst simultaneously poking his tentacles outwards, into the fog of war. Some past solo exhibitions carry titles like “Top 10 Best Stews for Military Necks”, “Dopaminer”, and “A Panoply of Grimoires”.
