The Letter Space Department (TLSD) engages in a series of dialogues with artists, writers, architects,… negotiating the intricate relationship between languages as material structures and their spatial implications. TLSD operates as a floating structure adopting places, functions (publisher, off-space,…) and names (The Ladder Space Department, The Letter’s Pace Department,…) according to specific situations and contexts. The department was founded as a parasitic structure within a residency program in 2019 by artist Wim De Pauw.
