Stefano Gualeni (Ph.D.) is an academic and author of philosophical reveries. He is a professor at the Institute of Digital Games (University of Malta).

Stefano is the author of Virtual Worlds as Philosophical Tools (Palgrave, 2015), Virtual Existentialism (Palgrave, 2020 – with Daniel Vella), Fictional Games: A Philosophy of Worldbuilding and Imaginary Play (Bloomsbury, 2022 – with Riccardo Fassone), The Clouds: An Experiment in Theory-Fiction (Routledge, 2023), and What We Owe the Dead (Set Margin’s, 2025).
