Silke Langenberg
Silke Langenberg (she/her) is Professor of Construction Heritage and Preservation in the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich. Previously, she was a full professor of Construction in Existing Contexts, Conservation, and Building Research at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. Langenberg studied architecture in Dortmund and Venice. Her research group addresses the theoretical and practical challenges of inventorying, assessing and preserving monuments. She initiated and led the ICOMOS Suisse Architectural Heritage Year 2025 working group as well as the outreach and research project “A Future for Whose Past? The Heritage of Minorities, Fringe Groups, and People without a Lobby” at ETH Zurich from 2022 to 2025.
