Semira Osmanagić is a Slovenian art historian and author based in Ljubljana, known in contemporary Slovenian literature for her distinct prose style, which blends deep psychological analysis with sharp, deadpan irony. She is the author of three novels:

Three Circles Around the House (Tri kroge okrog hiše, 2015) – A critically acclaimed debut exploring the intimate, melancholic world of a single urban woman.

How Many Steps Do We Take When We Stand Still? (Koliko korakov naredimo, kadar stojimo?) – A second novel continuing her exploration of solitude, empathy, and everyday anxiety.

Up to Award (Za nagrado, 2025) – Her latest work, which marks a bold transition from intimate drama into full-fledged, multimedia social satire.

In 2018, she wrote the play Together (Leja Jurišić and Marko Mandić), which received the Jury Prize at the 53rd Borštnik’s Meeting Festival and the Society of Theatre Critics and Theatrologists Award for the best performance in the 2017/2018 season.
