Designer and educator Scott Klinker chaired the graduate 3D design program at the renowned Cranbrook Academy of Art as Designer-in-Residence from 2001 to 2025. In that time, he mentored over 170 graduate design students and curated numerous exhibitions. While trained as an industrial designer, Scott’s primary inspirations come from the world of architecture and sculpture. His practice is a balance of industry projects and cultural projects including work with Herman Miller, Alessi, Landscape Forms, and others. He has also served as guest editor for professional journals including IDSA’s Innovations magazine and as contributing writer to Metropolis magazine.
