Salome Berdzenishvili is a PhD researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography (IfL) in Leipzig, where she works on the project Unlearning the Soviet. Her research examines post-socialist spatial imaginaries, memory, coloniality, and visual culture, with a particular focus on Georgia. Drawing on multimodal and visual ethnographic methods, she explores the intersections of infrastructure, digital media, and everyday temporalities. Her interests extend to film studies, decolonial theory, feminist media studies, and environmental memory.
