Rocío Quillahuaman was born in Lima in 1994 and moved to Barcelona in 2005. She studied audiovisual communication at the University of Barcelona and has worked as a writer and screenwriter. At the age of twenty, she began drawing portraits for fun, but it quickly got out of hand—she has now created more than three hundred portraits. Self-taught, she ventured into making animated videos that gained popularity on her social media due to their critical and humorous tone. The unique language of her creations, combined with the sharp, sarcastic sense of humor with which she makes observations about contemporary culture and society, has made her a prominent artist.
