Roberto Zancan
Roberto Zancan, PhD, is a lecturer in the history and theory of architecture at the Space Design/Interior Architecture Department at HEAD – Genève (HES-SO). He previously served as deputy editor of Domus magazine, as head curator of the Inside the Academy program for the BE OPEN Foundation, and as associate researcher at the UNESCO Chair in Conservation and Regeneration of Urban Heritage at IUAV, Venice, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montreal. Zancan has been the scientific manager of the Fórum Internacional de Arquitetura de Natal, the Instituto de Arquitetos do Brasil, and Landworks Sardinia. Zancan is the founder of the group Ground Action, and his works have been selected for the Venice Biennale of Architecture, the Biennial of Design in Ljubljana, and Manifesta Palermo. His publications include the books Corrispondenze: Teorie e storie dal landscape (2005), Spazialismi italiani (2005) and L’architecture par l’intérieur (2018). Recently, he co-edited two publications: Intimacy Exposed: Toilet, Bathroom, Restroom (2023) and A Nocturnal History of Architecture (2024).
