Raymond McGrath
Raymond McGrath (1903–1977) Born in Australia of Irish descent, McGrath was among the pioneering architects in 1930s England, pre-eminent in the use of glass, light and colour. His varied career included authoring the highly influential book Glass in Architecture and Decoration (1937). During WWII he moved to Dublin, where he was Principal Architect for the Office of Public Works from 1948–1968.
