Nicola Masciandaro is Professor of English at Brooklyn College (CUNY) and a specialist in medieval literature and mysticism. His books include The Voice of the Hammer (Notre Dame, 2007), Sufficient Unto the Day (Schism, 2014), Floating Tomb (Mimesis, 2015), On the Darkness of the Will (Mimesis, 2018), and The Seriality of the One (Anthem, 2025). He also writes poetic, experimental, and secret texts, among them a commentary on an inexistent emblem book and a speculative horror screenplay about cinema and headless seeing.
