However, her connection to the Berlin association began earlier – first as a participant in community events and later as a volunteer. Together with another volunteer, she initiated regular ‘mate meetups’, where people connect over mate tea – a drink popular in South America as well as Syria and Lebanon. With professional experience in the cultural sector in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Berlin, Moana brings a strong international perspective to her work at Über den Tellerrand.
