Mirna Bamieh is a Palestinian artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores the politics of disappearance, collective memory, and everyday life under political constraint. Through installation, text, ceramics, and video, she examines processes such as fermentation as both metaphor and method – extending life, cultivating ecologies, and transforming matter. Trained in the humanities, visual arts, and culinary studies, Bamieh founded Palestine Hosting Society in 2018, a live art project using food, storytelling, and performance to revive disappearing Palestinian food traditions. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at ICA Shanghai, Sharjah Biennial 15, and Fondazione Merz. She has performed in major venues such as Tanzquartier, Mina’s at MoMA PS1, and Tate Modern and has held residencies across Europe, Asia, and the US.
