Marcus Herse is the director of the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University in Orange, California. Originally from Germany, he is an artist, curator, and educator whose multidisciplinary investigations center on the experience of space and time as (dis)continuous. A graduate of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Herse conducted his postgraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has exhibited internationally, and his work has been reviewed in Artforum, Flash Art, and the Los Angeles Times.
