Mabel Tapia is an independent curator and researcher who has served as artistic deputy director of the Reina Sofía Museum and coordinator of L’Internationale, a confederation of modern and contemporary art institutions. She has co-directed the DSRA Document and Contemporary Art postgraduate program at ÉESI–Esna Bourges in France and coordinated the Red Conceptualismos del Sur platform. Tapia has worked as an editorial coordinator for several publications, including Losing the Human Form and A Really Useful Knowledge. She is part of the editorial collective for Des-bordes, a digital publication intersecting politics, visual culture, and artistic practices. Tapia’s research focuses on 21st-century artistic practices, exploring archives, heuristic proposals, and political practice. She is the author of Las palabras no anidan: Lettres d’amour (2024).
