Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás is a curator, art historian, author, and educator who has been active in the contemporary and media art scene since 2006. She has curated exhibitions at prestigious institutions such as the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, the Nam June Paik Art Center, and the Ludwig Museum Budapest. Her curatorial work centers on the genealogy and social impact of planetary computation, the effects of electronic surveillance on democracy, and the potential of the virtual condition. Through extensive research in curatorial studies, she examines the “virtual condition” and its implications for exhibition spaces. This research is part of the Beyond Matter project, which she initiated and led at ZKM from 2019 to 2023, in collaboration with institutions like the Centre Pompidou (Paris), Aalto University, and the Tallinn Art Hall. She has published extensively and recently edited the volume Beyond Matter, Within Space: Curatorial and Art Mediation Techniques on the Verge of Virtual Reality (2023).

Currently, she serves as curator for ARE YOU FOR REAL, a hybrid platform for transnational dialogue on digital world-making, exploring the influence of science and computation, organized by IFA – Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen.

As of 2023, she has taken on a lecturer role in curation and media practice at University College London’s Department of Culture, Communication & Media, and she contributes to the research project *Paik Replayed* at ECAL Lausanne as both curator and researcher.
