Line Fontana

Line Fontana is a Swiss interior architect based in Paris, co-founder of architecture practice Fagart & Fontana Architects and a studio critic at the Space Design/Interior Architecture Department at HEAD – Genève (HES-SO). Fagart & Fontana’s work examines urban renewal and the relationship between housing forms and evolving ways of life in today’s society. Notable projects include the Student Residency for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Logements BHV development in Ivry-sur-Seine (2024), and the Archives of the Fondation Azzedine Alaia in Paris (2021). The firm’s work has been widely exhibited, including at events such as the 2019 Biennale d’Architecture et de Paysage in Paris. Through their teaching and research at HEAD, Fagart & Fontana contribute to discussions on ordinary heritage, housing conditions and urban densification in built cities. Their work was extensively published in the monograph Renewing the City from Within (2022).
