Kurt Vanbelleghem

Kurt Vanbelleghem is a curator, critic and publisher specialized in the field of contemporary artistic practices. He received a MA in Psychological Sciences and a MA in Art History from the University of Ghent, Belgium and a Master in Visual Arts Administration from The Royal College of Art, London, UK.

He is specialized in the public relevance of an artistic practice. He focuses on the development of new curatorial and publication strategies within ongoing societal & technological evolutions and always in relationship to the responsibility taken by artists & designers. He is an excellent networker and communicator who is dedicated to develop the long-term engagements with artistic innovators.

As an art education specialist, he has been head of the curatorial program and of the MA curriculum at Sint Lucas Antwerp. He developed workshops, projects and educational partnerships for several higher art education institutions worldwide, including Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam (NL), Aalto University (FI), Ringling College of Art & Design (USA) and Lasalle College of Art & Design (SG);

He has been a contributing editor to a number of art & design magazines and has published several monographs, catalogues and artist’s books.
