Joni Marriott is an artist and illustrator who puts her thoughts down on paper, canvas, or building walls. She mostly works for magazines and newspapers. Her clients include Die Zeit, The New York Times, New Yorker Magazine, brand eins and Psychologie heute. Her surreal, philosophical drawings are mostly in the tradition of Ligne Claire in black and white. Since 2015, in addition to her commissioned work, she has been dedicating herself to the ongoing project “Daily Drawings.” Every day, she illustrates a feeling, an event, or a thought from her life, often by combining delightful impossibilities.
