Joe Ridealgh is an English architect and researcher based in London. His work focuses on community-led development, equitable access to land and the social infrastructure of cities. He co-organised EASA Commons in Sheffield in 2023, one of Europe’s largest self-organised gatherings of architecture students and young practitioners. After completing an MPhil at the University of Cambridge in 2022, where he researched England’s burgeoning community-owned pub movement, he joined the multidisciplinary design studio Architecture 00. There, he works on public-sector strategy and research alongside community-led projects, including the retrofit of the Latin American market at Wards Corner and Civic Square, a climate-focused community hub in Birmingham. He is also developing Stakehold, an independent architecture and research practice exploring mechanisms for delivering new community-owned social and cultural spaces.
