Jernej Markelj is a Lecturer in New Media and Digital Cultures at the University of Amsterdam and a researcher at the University of Ljubljana. His research focuses on affective politics of digital media, agentic imaginaries of AI, and online gender. He is the co-editor of Vectoral Agents series (Institute of Network Cultures), and author of articles published in journals such as Convergence, Media Theory, and NECSUS.
