Architect and urban planner Jelena Borota holds a degree in Urban Architecture from the IUAV University in Venice. She studied Spatial Planning at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the Paris IV – La Sorbonne University.

As a spatial and urban planner, she participated and headed the preparation of development plans of different levels, and of studies and analyses in the field of spatial planning. Her area of interest includes urban planning in the Mediterranean, with emphasis on public spaces. She lives and works in Split.
