Helena Hansson is a senior lecturer at HDK-Valand-Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where she also holds a Ph.D. in design. She has a background in design, transdisciplinary research and craft, and in her doctoral thesis, she explored participatory design in a Global North-South cooperation context (Sweden and Kenya). She is particularly interested in collaborative and community-building processes, focusing on practice-based methodologies for craft and frugal design.
