Gwenola Wagon is an artist and researcher. She is Professor at the Sorbonne École des Arts at the University of Paris 1. Through installations, films, and books, she imagines alternative and paradoxical stories that examine the contemporary digital world. She trekked the virtual globe with her Globodrome project, an exploration of the hyperinformation space and Internet infrastructure. With the artist Stéphane Degoutin, she co-directed World Brain (2015). Since working on the post-cybernetic fables Welcome to Erewhon (2019), Virusland (2022) and Chronicles of the Dark Sun (2023) with Pierre Cassou-Noguès, she has published Planète B (369 Éditions, 2022), an essay that combines investigation and fiction to understand a rapidly expanding monster.
