Gianluca Camillini is an Italian designer and scholar in the field of communication design. 
He obtained a PhD in Typography and Communication Design from the University of Reading, UK. 
Since 2013, he has been working at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where he serves as Deputy Dean for Studies and Director of the Bachelor Degree Programme, Faculty of Design and Art, unibz.
From 2018 he has been the Director of Progetto grafico, international graphic design journal.
