The photography, video, collages and drawings of Gabriel Jones evolve around such themes as pseudonyms, “apatriotism”, absurdity, archeology, geography and time. The work has been exhibited in venues such as Paris Photo; Photo España; MUCEM Museum, Marseille; Noorderlicht Photography Festival as well as galleries Michèle Didier, Paris; Priska Juschka Fine Art, New York; Bugdahn und Kaimer, Dusseldorf and POUSH Manifesto, Paris.

Jones was selected for art residencies at La Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris as well as the CPIF Centre Photographique d’Ile de France, Paris. His photographic work was commissioned by magazines such as The New York Times Magazine, M Le Monde magazine and has been teaching in the photography department of PCA Paris College of Arts.

From 2010 to 2014, Jones curated The Pseudonym Project, New York & Paris, for which he  invited a series of established and emerging artists, such as Robert Barry, Liam Gillick, Fouad Bouchoucha, Mathieu Mercier, Melanie Bonajo & Joseph Marzolla and Jonathan Monk to create new pieces under pseudonyms. Their real names were disclosed at the end of the exhibition.

Jones was born in Montreal, lived in Brooklyn and now lives and works in Paris and Marseille.
