Founded in 2014, For The Wild is a progressive, slow media platform dedicated to ecological thought, cultural transformation, and the protection of the more-than-human world. Through its podcast and multimedia storytelling, it convenes artists, scientists, philosophers, Indigenous leaders, and grassroots organizers to explore conservation, social justice, and spiritual ecology. Emerging from a critique of dominant cultural narratives, the project imagines alternatives rooted in reciprocity with the Earth. Guided by a “slow media” ethos, the collective emphasizes depth, care, and meaningful dialogue over rapid content cycles. Its first print publication, Slow Earth Companion, continues this vision. In 2026, after more than twelve years of work, the organization is evolving with the launch of For The Wild Studio, expanding its capacity for original productions and collaborative storytelling.
