Fiona Ross specialises in type design and typography primarily for Arabic, South Asian, and Thai scripts, with a background in languages and PhD in Indian Palaeography (SOAS). Fiona is a part-time member of staff of the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading, where she is Professor in Type Design. She is the Principal Investigator of the Leverhulme-funded ‘Women in Type’ research project.
