Dr Laura Ferrarello

Dr Laura Ferrarello is a Senior Researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Trained as an architect and working professionally as a designer, Laura has worked and exhibited internationally, including La Biennale di Venezia (Italy), the MOCA Geffen Museum (Los Angeles), the West Bund Art Centre (Shanghai), Saatchi Gallery (London). 

Laura is course leader of the Future Learn course “Ethical Practices to Guide Creativity and Innovation”. As academic and researcher, Laura led the Royal College of Art Grand Challenge project with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution; she delivered a partnership with UNESCO-IOC; she co–led the EPSRC funded research “You & Your Images” on digital privacy exhibited at the V&A Digital Weekend. With her research, 

Laura collaborates with organisations including the BBC, British Airways, NASA, RNLI, ARUP, WHO, Fujitsu, Huawei, Royal Society, Digital Catapult, amongst others. Laura creates and delivers courses and workshops internationally on ethics, collaboration and innovation. She co–created the podcast series “Opportunity Talks” interviewing experts on sustainability and business. She has lectured internationally including Harvard GSD, Design Council, COP26, ETHZ, USC amongst others.
