Cesare Pietroiusti

Cesare Pietroiusti born in Rome, 1955, began his career in psychiatry before transitioning into art, where he focuses on the relationship between social psychology and artistic practice. His work explores everyday paradoxes, particularly themes like economics, value, authorship, and social interaction. He is a founding member of the collective Lu Cafausu and co-founded the Fondazione Lac o Le Mon, a center for artistic research and experimental pedagogy in San Cesario di Lecce. Pietroiusti has exhibited internationally and co-founded the artist-run space Jartrakor in Rome, the magazine Rivista di Psicologia dell’Arte, and Nomads & Residents in New York. He was also a coordinator of the Oreste projects. He is no longer president of Palaexpo.
