Carmen Lael Hines is a curator, writer, and researcher whose work explores how gendered labour is staged and performed in digital environments. She is a PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and was a researcher at the Vienna University of Technology’s Department of Visual Culture (2019–2024). She is Course Leader of the BA Creative Media Arts programme at Istituto Europeo di Design Madrid and a visiting lecturer at CuratorLab, Konstfack, Stockholm. Her practice develops exhibitions, research, and educational programmes through close collaboration with artists, architects, and students. She co-hosts the podcast Girl Employee with Morgane Billuart.
