Brenda Tempelaar is an artist, art critic, and researcher at the St. Joost Art Academy, Breda, Netherlands. She was a jury member at the Mondriaan Fund for several years. Tempelaar contributes to major Dutch papers including De Groene Amsterdammer and Metropolis M. She has written articles about Marina Abramovic and Yoko Ono among other female artists. Tempelaar won the Dutch Young Art Criticism Grand Prize in 2016 in the review category. She wrote an article on the work of Bita Razavi for De Groene Amsterdammer and participated in a panel discussion on artistic integrity as part of Razavi’s solo exhibition in Amsterdam in 2024.
